01Scope and acceptance
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application Prism Verdict, package name com.prismverdict.decisionlab, published by KOWA (“KOWA”, “we”, “us” or “our”). It explains the privacy behaviour of version 1.0.0 and later versions unless a later policy states otherwise.
By installing or using the application, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with it, you may stop using and uninstall the application.
02Developer identity
The application is developed and published by KOWA. Privacy questions, support requests or concerns may be sent to olgakuznetsova2041@gmail.com.
Because KOWA does not operate a user account system, cloud database or application server for Prism Verdict, KOWA generally cannot identify a user or retrieve a user's locally stored decision content.
03Plain-language summary
- Your decision titles, notes, options, criteria, ratings, weights and duel outcomes are stored locally.
- KOWA does not receive or view this content through the application.
- You can delete individual saved decisions.
- Clearing application data or uninstalling removes active local records, subject to Android backup and restore settings.
04Information you create in the app
Prism Verdict allows you to create structured decision records. Depending on how you use it, a record may contain:
- a decision title and optional context note;
- names of alternative choices;
- custom criterion names and importance weights;
- ratings from 0 to 10;
- pairwise duel selections and calculated duel wins;
- calculated rankings, combined scores and visualization data;
- creation dates and internal identifiers needed to organize records.
This information is referred to in this Policy as “Local Decision Content”. You decide what to enter. We recommend avoiding unnecessary names, passwords, payment information, health records or other sensitive personal information because the application is intended for general decision planning, not secure record management.
05Information collected by KOWA
KOWA does not collect Local Decision Content or device information through Prism Verdict. The application does not transmit application usage events, identifiers, crash logs, advertising identifiers or diagnostics to KOWA.
| Data category | Collected by KOWA? | Application behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| Decision content | No | Stored locally for app functionality |
| Account details | No | No account or registration exists |
| Device or advertising IDs | No | No identifier access or advertising SDK |
| Location | No | No location permission or location feature |
| Contacts, photos or files | No | No related permission or import feature |
| Analytics and diagnostics | No | No analytics or crash-reporting service |
If you voluntarily email KOWA, your email provider transmits the message and address outside the application. Such correspondence is handled only to respond to your request and is governed by the email provider's own terms.
06How local storage works
Local Decision Content is serialized in JSON format and stored in the application's private Android SharedPreferences area. Android application sandboxing normally prevents other ordinary applications from directly reading this private area.
The content is read when Prism Verdict opens so it can reconstruct the archive, ratings and results. It is updated when you save, adjust or delete a prism. KOWA has no remote access to this storage through the application.
07Purposes of on-device processing
Prism Verdict processes Local Decision Content on the device solely to provide requested features:
- creating and editing structured comparisons;
- displaying alternatives and weighted criteria;
- calculating normalized weighted scores;
- applying a limited pairwise-duel bonus;
- sorting alternatives into a transparent ranking;
- drawing bars and prism-shaped charts;
- recalculating results inside Sensitivity Lab;
- saving, reopening and deleting decision records.
The application does not use Local Decision Content for advertising, profiling, model training, marketing, credit decisions or sale.
08Legal bases
Where privacy laws describe local application operations as processing by KOWA, the relevant basis is normally performance of the user-requested service: you enter information and ask the application to calculate, display and save it. Limited developer-held support correspondence may be processed to answer a request, based on the request itself and KOWA's legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining the application.
Local law may provide different or additional legal bases. Because the application does not transmit Local Decision Content to KOWA, most processing occurs under your direct control on your own device.
09Android permissions
Version 1.0.0 does not request user-facing sensitive permissions. In particular, it does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, notifications, external storage or media access.
Android build tooling and AndroidX may declare an internal app-scoped permission named com.prismverdict.decisionlab.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION. It is protected at signature level and supports safe internal framework behaviour. It does not allow the application to access personal content and is not presented to the user as a runtime permission.
10Internet and network access
Prism Verdict version 1.0.0 does not declare the Android INTERNET permission. Core functionality is available without an internet connection. The application does not connect to an API, KOWA server, Firebase, Supabase or any other cloud database.
11Third-party libraries and services
The application uses Android and AndroidX software components, including Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Material 3, Android Lifecycle and Activity libraries. These components are packaged into the application to render the interface and manage the Android lifecycle. We have not integrated them as remote analytics services.
Version 1.0.0 contains no advertising network, analytics platform, crash-reporting platform, attribution provider, social sign-in, cloud storage SDK, payment processor or generative AI service.
13Data retention
Local Decision Content
Saved decisions remain in application storage until you delete them, clear the application's storage or uninstall the application. KOWA does not impose a remote retention period because it has no copy of this content.
Support correspondence
If you contact KOWA by email, the correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, document the response, prevent abuse or comply with legal obligations. It may then be deleted or anonymized where practical.
14Deletion and user controls
You can open a saved prism and use the delete control to remove that record from the in-app archive. You can also use Android system settings to clear application storage, or uninstall Prism Verdict to remove its active local application data.
Because KOWA cannot locate decision records on your device, you do not need to email KOWA to delete Local Decision Content. Device-level deletion controls are the effective method.
15Android backup and device transfer
The application permits Android's standard backup and device-transfer mechanisms to include private application preferences. Whether a backup occurs depends on your operating system version, device manufacturer, Google account settings and backup configuration.
These mechanisms are provided and controlled by the Android platform or device provider, not by KOWA. A backed-up record may be restored when you reinstall the application or move to another device. To manage this behaviour, review the backup settings of your Android device and account.
16Security
Prism Verdict reduces privacy exposure by avoiding remote accounts, network transmission and third-party tracking. Local records are placed inside the application's private Android sandbox. Release packages are digitally signed so Android can verify application identity and updates.
No storage method can guarantee absolute security. Device compromise, root access, malicious system software, unlocked physical access, insecure backups or operating-system vulnerabilities may expose local information. Protect your device with a current operating system, screen lock and appropriate account security.
17Children's privacy
Prism Verdict is a general productivity tool and is not directed specifically to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their jurisdiction. KOWA does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.
Parents and guardians should supervise a child's device use and help avoid entry of unnecessary personal or sensitive information. If you believe a child has sent personal information to KOWA by email, contact us so the correspondence can be reviewed and, where appropriate, deleted.
18Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, privacy laws may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a supervisory authority.
For Local Decision Content, these rights are exercised directly through the application and Android device controls because KOWA does not receive or hold the content. KOWA cannot access, correct or export a record that exists only on your device. For support correspondence held by KOWA, you may contact us using the address below. We may request proportionate information to verify the request and protect others.
You may also contact the data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction if you believe applicable privacy law has been violated.
19International data transfers
Prism Verdict does not transfer Local Decision Content internationally because the application does not transmit that content. If you email KOWA, email infrastructure may process the message in countries different from your own according to the provider's operations and safeguards.
20Calculations and automated decisions
The application calculates rankings using weights, ratings and a limited duel bonus. This is a user-controlled productivity calculation, not an automated decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about a person.
Prism Verdict does not claim that a calculated winner is objectively correct. Results depend entirely on the information and priorities you provide. You remain responsible for evaluating the context and making the final decision, especially for medical, legal, financial, employment, safety or other high-impact matters.
21External links and app stores
The application itself does not display external web content. Its store listing is distributed through Google Play, whose collection and processing of store account, download, payment, security or diagnostic information is governed by Google's own privacy terms. KOWA does not control platform-level processing performed independently by Google or a device manufacturer.
22Changes to this Policy
KOWA may revise this Policy when application functionality, legal requirements or distribution practices change. The updated document will show a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the store listing, release notes or an updated application package where appropriate.
The privacy statements in this version are tied to the reviewed behaviour of Prism Verdict 1.0.0. If a future version introduces optional network features or third-party services, the Policy and Google Play Data safety answers should be updated before that version is distributed.
